While most people experience their sushi meal with all the pomp and ceremony of a fine dining, full-service style sushi restaurant, our approach dares to produce that same level of freshness and perfection but without the wait and at a better value.

Without sacrificing any of the sensible freshness and cleanliness of good Japanese fare, our classically-trained sushi chef has successfully brought sushi back to where it belongs by introducing a simple made-to-order system. It all starts with your choice of seaweed or soy wrap. From there, you have as many as 16 proteins from which to pick to come up with your signature sushi roll. You can pile up on the proteins for an additional $2.50 each. Suit your mood with delicate seafood tempura choices of salmon, shrimp, tuna, yellowtail or krab. The batter is so light and fluffy with the most delectable crunch.

For more cooked protein choices you have eel, fried calamari, shrimp, krab mix, tofu or chicken. For those after a more traditional raw fish sushi roll, decide from salmon, yellowtail, tuna, smoked salmon or our ever-popular Hot Mess Mix. The next step is to move on to your choice of fillings.

We have all the classics – sprouts, cucumber, carrot and avocado. Our chef wanted to step up the fun factor with such toppings as your choice of Crushed Funyuns or, get this: Spicy Crushed Cheetos! Imagine trying to describe this to your friends who have never tried it before! For an additional charge, you can top your roll with some of our favorite toppings of avocado, Hot Mess Mix or krab mix. Your roll is not finished without including one of our amazing sauces.

Our chef finds new variations on standards such as kicking things up with a spicy mayo or wasabi ranch, but there are always habanero mango or Sriracha sauces for some more heat. You may prefer a more mellow approach with infused sauces such as Lime Crema or Honey Wasabi Mayo. You can also go with traditional teriyaki or a sweet soy sauce, if you prefer.

There is one sauce that deserves a little focus, and that is our chef’s Honey Truffle Aioli. Think of this one as the ultimate variation of mayo, but it is French, so of course it has garlic. It also has lemon juice, egg yolk and oil but the pièce de résistance is the addition of the extremely rare but most aromatic fungi: The truffle. This “shroom” gives it an intense earthy flavor. Try it paired with fish for a flavor combination you won’t get from any other sushi restaurant.

More Unique Creations that are Part of Our Standard Rolls at SushiFork of Tulsa Hills

At SushiFork of Tulsa Hills, we pride ourselves in honoring our first responders with the FFR Roll. This is the FIT First Responders Roll. It features tuna and shrimp with fillers of bell pepper, jalapeno, carrot, cucumber, avocado and sprouts. Toppings include scallion and Togarashi with a lime crema sauce as well as a cilantro lime sauce, how refreshing!

Another fun one is our Fire in the Roll, and you can take the hint from the name without reservation. Starting with fried calamari, avocado and cucumber, we first kick it up with some jalapeno. We also fill it with cream cheese and Masago, but then we take it up a notch with spicy mayo. If that were not enough, we add our habanero mango sauce and scallions. Maybe order this one when some of our first responders are enjoying a meal, too.

Not to leave out more fun, we have included the Admiral Crunch Roll. It starts out unassumingly with delicious tempura shrimp and avocado with cream cheese. For more crunch, we top it with tempura krab and tempura crunch. Included on top are scallion, Togarashi and Masago, and the sauces include our Honey Truffle Aioli and sweet soy sauce. We Weren’t Kidding About Sushi Burritos

As part of our ongoing desire for fusion food, we have introduced our delicious Sushi Burritos. Aptly named, we have our Three Amigos Sushi Burrito that comes with the trio of salmon, tuna and yellowtail. Adding bacon, well, how can you wrong adding bacon to anything? It is also filled with lettuce, avocado and jalapeno and topped with Sriracha and spicy mayo.

Another of our burrito rolls is the Kaptain Krunch containing tempura shrimp and tempura krab. Filled with cream cheese and avocado, it is served with our delectable Honey Aioli Sauce. If that is not enough to make you hungry, there is also the Pokemon Sushi Burrito with tuna, cucumber, jalapeno and lettuce. Topped with sesame seeds and Togarashi, it also has sesame oil and ponzu mushroom.

Guests at our fast-casual restaurant in Tulsa enjoy such a full sushi menu, and we did not want to leave anything out. We have included salads, sides and wraps. You might want to add a fresh SushiFork of Tulsa Hills salad that also comes with wonton crisps and a tantalizing sesame ginger vinaigrette. Some want to skip the salad and just have this amazing dressing. Order this one with or without the chicken.

Our wrap includes the same with lettuce, carrot, bell pepper and almonds. You also get the wonton crisps with this sesame ginger vinaigrette that teases both sides of the brain with its tangy and sweet contrasts.

Miso soup is available to order along with any of the items you select. It is such a good soup and so good for you with its mixture of soybeans, sea salt and rice koji. Miso soup is good for your health with its detoxifying seaweed, mushrooms, green onions and tofu. If you want a B12 boost, add this soup to your meal.

All our salads are a healthy addition. Choose from cucumber, seaweed or spicy Ika salads. Ika sansai is a traditional squid salad that includes mountain vegetables, the traditional seasonal wild foods from the hills. For more unusual yet very satisfying addition to your meal, ask for the Wicked Tuna Nachos. It starts with wonton crisps, then we add tuna, jalapeno, mango and lace with sweet soy sauce and lime crema. Top all that with scallion, Togarashi and cilantro. In a word: Mouth-watering.

We Have Not Forgotten that Kids Have Choices, Too

The kids are not left out if they have not reached the sophisticated pallet stage. We have their favorites including Chicken Bites and French Fries, Corn Dogs and French Fries, Chicken and Waffle Bites, French Fries, Teriyaki Chicken and Rice, and finally, French Fries. Even our desserts will tempt the kids, but the adults are just as weak to the cravings of our most unusual and fun Strawberry and Nutella Wrap.
